Good Time in Boistfort

During the first of June, Ben had business meetings in Chehalis.  Together, we journeyed south to Ross's farm.  These are the trees that run along the river.  Love the sight, sound and smell.

Contest for tallness

Yes, I got to ride the range on the mower.  That's making hay fast.
Ben may have Danish eyes, but every day he looks more like his mother's family .
Loved having him come.

Life is Good

We had a wonderful Easter. After church, Ross fell asleep. Chief took a leap at the chair and found the perfect cushion.

Quilts for the Military

Ross became the proud recipient of this beautiful quilt made by Aunt Elizabeth and her quilt guild specifically for military who were wounded in the middle east war.
I believe the pattern is Rail Fence and when it is all laid out, you can really see the applique stars and the quilting pattern.  Ross was very appreicative.  Thank you, Elizabeth!  Your quilt is beautiful.  Thank you.

I think he likes it!

Ross Came Home Tuesday Night

But he didn't come alone.  "Chief"  is his new traveling companion and Joel likes that.

He is cute.  Will he stay that way?
We are happy that Ross's year of recuperating is done and his year before that in Afghanistan is over and done.  Now it's time to play with the neices and nephews and help me in the garden.

Ross's Birthday Today

Wanted to recognize a special day for us and wish Ross a very happy birthday with a favorite photo.  It makes him look more like a farmer than an attorney.  What a great disguise!  Anyway, best wishes for a good day and mid-July cannot get here soon enough.

US Marines in Helmand Afghanistan Battle of Khan Nechion Castle

"The Castle" is what Ross calls "Home".  And this is what took place before he got there.
Notice the row of shelters that is the same as the picture Ross sent just before Christmas.

June 29----If I Had One Wish ----

then it would be: Happy, happy birthday to you from me/us. We didn't get to do much celebrating, but it doesn't diminish the special place Ross fills in our family.....and all of that free counsel too. Thank you, Ross!
In this picture he is at Overlake Hospital to help welcome Ben & JoLin's new baby.

Another Opening, Another Roadshow

I stole (?), saved(?) this photo from the Ward bulletin board. ( You can still see the thumbtack holes.) Ross had a great talent for creating the best and most fun Roadshows. He won the "Best Show" It is a lost art form now, I don't think I've seen anything near as good since his time.
