Good Time in Boistfort

During the first of June, Ben had business meetings in Chehalis.  Together, we journeyed south to Ross's farm.  These are the trees that run along the river.  Love the sight, sound and smell.

Contest for tallness

Yes, I got to ride the range on the mower.  That's making hay fast.
Ben may have Danish eyes, but every day he looks more like his mother's family .
Loved having him come.

The Spring/ Early Summer Garden of 2013

Rhody blossoms tended to last longer with brighter color in the cooler, but drier weather.

Two iris did bloom finally this year.  The lupines never fail.  But as soon as the seed pods formed, the birds were eager to strip the stalks bare..

The return of the potato patch beside the compost operations.  Only this year the volunteer columbine was the best free deal in town.

Just slinging the compost around to encourage things to grow.

The Old Cabinets Saved

The dining room has the "backside" view of the cabinets.

Ann's Dirty Dishes Sampler is a family favorite as are Elizabeth tole painted sconces.

Crown molding is installed and makes such a difference.
Bob did such a good job!

There were a lot of cabinet shelves and drawers to paint inside and out:
1 primer coat and 2 coats of enamel.

I moved the breakfast cereal that used to be in this cupboard to the pantry.
I wanted all of the food in one area, not scattered here and there.
However, I find myself wandering back to the old spot and then I remember,
it isn't there anymore.
The brick wall / stove side.
All in all, I am very happy with the new look.
Now I'm looking at the floor and thinking.......hummmmmmm.
Yes, I talked with the floor man and he introduced me to a new product called "Allure".
Next project?

Just don't forget where the to find the cookie jar!

Jay and Kerry Celebrate 25th Anniversary

Not knowing what life would bring, Jay and Kerry married in the Seattle Temple on June 4, 1988.

Today they celebrate their years together.  And we are all cheering with flag waving and shouts of congratulations.  We are thankful for them and their three daughters.
